Kids Summer Reading Challenge

June 18-August 27

The Summer Reading Challenge is open to children aged 2 through 14. Prizes are awarded for time spent reading whether by oneself or with an older reader. The youngest age bracket earns a prize after reading for only two hours, all the way up to our oldest bracket which earns a prize for every five hours. Special thanks to There’s a Treat for partnering with us to offer the one-time prize of a free ice cream cone to each child! Come into the library or contact us via phone or email to get your children signed up. We’ll have goody bags for each participant, and the prizes will be displayed on the mantelpiece to keep them motivated. Last year we logged 597 hours of reading, maybe this year we'll break 600!
